on the way back home from Jordan a few weeks ago, I spent a while in Istanbul...ahem...one day in the Grand Bazaar....

I love to sit opposite of the fes cafe...people watching...drinking chai....and....after the 4th time chai at this day...

I decided that there is a urgent need for new towels and soap, visited the abdulla shop...oh I love this shop so much....

left with the most beautiful wrapped "gifts"....

...and *hey presto* cinnamon and rose soap, a supersoft cotton herringbone patterned towel....

and fluffy hamam towels came out of the silk wrap...oh, what a bliss...!

There are lots of real treasures to find at abdulla´s: a wide range of towels in different sizes, soaps - especially nice crescent moon shaped soaps- and vintage treasures. They also offer a very special item, a crocheted bath robe which is made from recycled raphia...this bathrobe is breathtaking, one of the most beautiful craftwork I have ever seen...

...made with love in the beautiful city of Istanbul :-)

If you visit Istanbul, don´t miss to visit this shop!
warning: hard to resist the temptation!!

P.S.: thanks very much to abdulla and his lovely and very friendly staff for your warm welcome in your shop :-)

  1. Oh I love those towels, I have them in my apartment in Hannover and they are so nice to wrap in after a hot bath. :) Did you buy some for yourself?

  2. Dear Holly,
    thanks for stopping by ;-)

...yes, because we "really" needed some new towels ;-) ;-) *hehe* ...I bought all the towels on the pictures above, the fluffly ones are small sizes and the turquoise herringbone one is a huge one.
